Special Interest Fords Club

Our Club is devoted to the preservation, restoration and enjoyment of 1949 through 1960 Ford, Edsel, Mercury, Lincoln, Continental and Thunderbird cars & trucks. Our Club was formed in 1975. Several of the original members received their 25 -year Service Pins in 2000, and they are still very active.

We are located in Houston, Texas, with a Chapter in Dallas/Ft Worth. There are about 90 Houston families that are Club members. Our Club is informal and family-oriented. Members assist each other with technical help and parts location. We like to drive our cars, so don't feel you need a perfect show car to join our club. We like original restorations, modified cars, customs and everyday drivers too. In fact, car ownership is not required, just an interest in old 50s FoMoCo iron.

We have monthly meetings, usually on the first Sunday afternoon of each month. Since our membership spans the Greater Houston Metropolitan area, we try to rotate our monthly meetings to different parts of town. The monthly activities include Tours, "CRUUZes", picnics, car displays and sometimes we participate in old car events sponsored by other local car clubs. Our Club is one of the most active in the Houston Area.

Our monthly newsletter, the CRUUZ-NUUZ, is a source of information for both the Houston and Dallas/Ft Worth Chapters. Annual dues are $25.00 per family.
